Frequently Asked Questions
-
if you're interested in our most transformative brow service, brow lamination, we recommend scheduling a consultation first. this allows your esthetician to evaluate whether you're a good candidate for the service, discuss your brow goals, and perform a patch test of the solutions used during treatment to help identify any potential sensitivities or allergic reactions.
if you're considering a more subtle enhancement, a brow tint may be a great place to start. brow tinting can add depth, definition, and the appearance of fuller brows without the commitment of a lamination. this also gives you dedicated time with your esthetician to discuss your goals + receive personalized recommendations based on your unique brow shape, hair growth, skin type, and desired outcome.
one thing that sets our team apart is our commitment to recommending only what will genuinely benefit you. if we don't believe a particular treatment will help you achieve your goals, we'll tell you. you can feel confident knowing you'll never be pressured into a service you don't need.
-
your esthetician will help select a shade that complements your features + desired outcome. brow tints often appear slightly darker immediately after the service before softening to it’s true color over the following days.
-
certain products + medications can increase skin sensitivity. always inform your esthetician of any changes before each appointment so they can determine whether waxing is appropriate.
-
before: please be prepared to remove any makeup from the brow area before your appointment time. you may do this prior to your appointment, or your esthetician will cleanse the area before starting the service.
after: if you need to be somewhere immediately afterward + would like to reapply makeup, we recommend bringing your own products to touch up the brow area, as foundations, concealers, and brow makeup will be removed. that said, we generally do not recommend applying makeup directly after a brow service, as the skin may be temporarily sensitive or irritated from waxing or tweezing. applying makeup too soon can also introduce bacteria to freshly exfoliated skin, potentially leading to irritation, clogged pores, or breakouts around the brow area.
for brow laminations specifically, we recommend avoiding makeup on the brow area for at least 24 hours to allow the lamination to fully set. after that, you may resume your normal makeup routine (excluding oil-based products directly on the brow)

generally, brow lamination is ideal for those looking to achieve a more defined look and fuller brows. it works well for most people, but it is not recommended for those with sensitive skin, rosacea, eczema, a history of contact dermatitis, or those undergoing chemotherapy.
Ideal candidates:
thinning hair due to age
gaps from over-plucking or over-waxing in the past
unruly hairs that tend to go in different directions despite brushing
lack of shape or uneven brows
-
no, some individuals may experience mild sensitivity during or shortly after the service, but the lamination process itself is not painful. brow waxing is included with every lamination service + is usually the only portion that may cause minor discomfort. If you've received a brow wax before, you can generally expect a similar level of sensitivity during the waxing portion of your appointment.
-
brow lamination can last up to 8 weeks, depending on aftercare, hair growth cycle, and lifestyle. on average, most come back every 6 weeks. the tint used delivers a long-lasting tone that stays up to 7 weeks on the hair. This look will soften and settle after the first 24 hours.
-
before your appointment, remove all face products around the brow area. Any leftover oils or lotions can interfere with the treatment + lead to undesired results.
Post-Care (first 24 hours):
Keep your brows completely dry, this includes avoiding sweating, hot baths/showers, saunas, steam rooms, + swimming.
Do not wear eye makeup for the first 12 hours.
Avoid rubbing, touching, or irritating the brow area.
After 24 hours, gently remove the conditioning cream with a damp cotton round or Q-tip.
Maintain:
Avoid scrubbing your brows back + forth to help the shape last longer.
Use an oil-free makeup remover + cleanse in the same direction you want your brows to lay.
Apply the provided castor oil nightly + condition up to 2x per week.
Brush through your brows daily with a clean spoolie/mascara wand.
Note: Excess sun exposure can weaken the lamination and fade the tint. Chlorine and certain skincare products may also shorten the results of both the perm and the tint.
